I got in with straight A's (low 90s to mid 90s) from my high school classes (no AP's) and about a 1250 combined SAT score. The school is not that hard to get into (a B to B+ average will probably get you in)...you really just have to try to work hard toward getting enough scholarship money. As for the essay, don't fret about it. They give you a few topics to choose from though it's always smart to do your own (that's also an option) because it just gives you more space to avoid being cliche and give them a version of what they're getting.
